We walked up the winding stair case holding our breath in anticipation. As we walked through the door the crowd went wild!!!!!
Last Friday, Tamsyn, CJ, Braeden and Madison went to the Lismore Regional Art Gallery to view the painting we created at the Indigenous art day last year. As we waited for the grand unveiling we looked at the other art collections on display. There were sculptures, paintings and artworks. The oldest painting was made in the 1920's and was really small. When we went upstairs we found our painting hanging on the wall among 5 other paintings from other local public primary schools in Lismore.
Throughout the morning we had an opportunity to talk with Uncle Digby Moran a famous Aboriginal artist, he told us stories and even helped us paint our painting! We got our photo taken which will be in the newspaper. We had a great time at the Gallery.
