Teacher Profile
Tina Budd
My name is Tina Budd and I have been a permanent teacher at Wyrallah Road Public School since 2017. This year I will be on the Stage 1 team, teaching Year 2. I grew up in Nambucca Heads and graduated from Southern Cross University (Lismore) in 2006. Before returning to Lismore, I taught at Bourke Public School for 9 years and gained a lot of experience and skills. As a teacher, I aim to develop a strong rapport with each student. I am passionate about creating an engaging and safe classroom where students have fun and enjoy learning. I think it is important that students have hands on experiences and implement this throughout all lessons. Having open communication with parents and carers is important, and I am looking forward to working with you this year. I can’t wait to teach 2B, see them grow as learners and encourage them to be amazing. I am excited to be teaching alongside Miss Ballard and will be working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Teacher Profile
Kim Ballard
My name is Kim Ballard and I am excited to be teaching Year 2 and beginning this learning journey with your child. I grew up in the local area on a farm just outside of Coraki and have a large family of seven siblings. I enjoy spending time with my family. I studied at Southern Cross University in Lismore and began teaching at WRPS in 2015. I love working with my colleagues and the wider school community. Throughout my experience as a teacher, I believe that the student's personality and prior knowledge enrich the classrooms that they are in, and their school environment. I believe it is essential to hold high expectations, set learning goals with students and most importantly teach in a professional, caring and nurturing manner. I am looking forward to working with you and your child and building open and effective lines of communication. This year I am working with Tina Budd and we are going to make an awesome team. We both have similar teaching styles and this will create consistency for your child. I teach on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
