Susan Connolly
My name is Susan Connolly and I am a School Administration Officer at Wyrallah Road Public School. I started working at WRPS as a casual Teachers Aid in 1997, which soon lead to some temporary work in the front office. This suited me perfectly as I was also undertaking some study at the time - a Diploma in Child Studies, a Bachelor of Human Services and a Bachelor of Education, Early Childhood. Although I worked for many years as a Preschool Teacher and spent some time travelling, I always remained close to my WRPS family. So, when the opportunity arose to apply for a permanent, part-time position in the office, I jumped at the opportunity. In 2012 I was successful in my application for a permanent, full time position and I have been here ever since! Although my children are now in high school and beyond, I am grateful that my position allowed me to be a small part of their primary school journey.
When I am not at work, my husband and I are usually watching our three children participate in their chosen sports - netball, basketball, baseball, cricket or dance. We love that our children embrace the many opportunities available to them in life and love that they have the same appreciation for family and the outdoors that we do. As a family we enjoy camping, fishing, boating, water skiing, snow skiing and mountain bike riding. The quieter times in life see me enjoying photography, gardening and exploring our beautiful Far North Coast beaches.
