The Aliya King Leadership Award was established to celebrate the leadership potential in a Year 4 student. The award is named after a past student, Aliya King, who was the first Aboriginal school captain at WRPS. The Year 4 student who wins this award is given the opportunity to attend the student leadership conference the following year and is also provided support to continue to develop their leadership capabilities within the school. This award hopes to encourage Aboriginal students to harness their potential as future leaders and become student leaders within the school.
We would also like to express our gratitude to ECOTEAM for their ongoing support and sponsorship of this award.
