On Tuesday, 13 August, students from Stages 2 and 3 attended an Aboriginal Dance Workshop at Alstonville Public School. Karlie, the principal of Redfern Dance Company and Amy, also a teacher from the Redfern Dance Company, led a range of activities and choreography that included traditional and contemporary Aboriginal dance styles. The Hip Hop dancing to Baker Boy’s ‘Marryuna’ was a big hit! Students also had a chance to create their own dances in small groups, as well as show off some of their best moves in a dance-off circle at the end of the day.
