Our WRPS Primary Choir were spectacular as part of the River of Light Gala Concert to celebrate the 25th Annual Lismore Lantern Parade. Dressed in their watery blue outfits, their sweet voices combined with the Lismore Public School choir and the visiting brilliance of the Moorambilla Maxed Out Company to perform a number of world premier songs - composed by world class Australian composers especially for this historical event for Lismore.
After their part in the show, our choir was delighted to hear more original music - this time for our local Youth Jazz Orchestra and the Maxed Out Taiko Drummers. This was a truly special event, that gave our young WRPS voices an opportunity to learn from professional visiting conductor Michelle Leonard OAM and local singing teacher Anita Bellman, whilst exploring music, part singing and ensemble skills far beyond that which they have done before. Students are to be commended for their hard work, perseverance and, of course, congratulated for a beautiful performance.
