Year 6 Uni Bound

On Thursday 1 November, Year 6 attended Southern Cross University to experience the ‘Uni Opens Up Your World’ program. Students participated in mini tutorials exploring different university course areas and the careers associated with these. Students explored the Creative and Performing Arts courses where they designed a logo, thinking like a graphic designer. Students learnt about the human brain when exploring the Health and Human Sciences courses. In the Environment Science and Engineering​ session, students competed in building the tallest tower out of aluminium that could withstand a cyclone and an earthquake. It was a great opportunity for our students to think about their strengths and ask questions about the various pathways that current university students took to be enrolled in their chosen course of study.
