FNC Surf Life Saving Championships

Last week I went to Stockton Beach near Newcastle for the Far North Coast Surf Life Saving Championships. We left on Thursday morning and headed for Coffs Harbour, then eventually Stockton Beach Caravan Park with all the FNC athletes. After we were told our cabins, we got changed and were in the water. The water was soooo cold compared to up here. The next day was relaxing as we prepared for the two-day carnival ahead. I was a little bit nervous at this stage.

On the first carnival day, it was an early start, 7am - I felt confident. I competed in individual events against all branches in NSW. I took out 1^st place in the u12's male swim, 2^nd in the u12's male ironman and 3^rd in the u12's board race.

On the second carnival day, I competed in team events. FNC got 5^th in the board rescue relay, 3^rd in the Cameron relay and 4^th in the board relay. After the carnival was finished, we had a presentation. Proudly, FNC won the country trophy and came 5^th overall in point score.
