On Friday 1 July, WRPS will celebrate NAIDOC Week with a day of activities and fun. The children are asked to come to school dressed in red, black and yellow on this day. We will start the day with a Welcome to Country and flag-raising ceremony and then the children will break into groups to enjoy the celebrations of the day. All are welcome to be part of the celebrations on this day which will commence at 9.00am in the shelter area. The Aboriginal students will also travel to the Lismore Showground next Thursday to participate in the community NAIDOC celebrations. Our Aboriginal students and Senior Dance Ensemble will also be performing at these celebrations.
