BRISBANE EXCURSION
"Bye mum, bye dad, I'm going to miss you!" yelled everyone from the window of the bus as we left for Brisbane. Then people started to sing "the wheels on the bus" - it went for ages. The bus dropped us off at South Bank, we walked down to a park that had a massive dog (but it wasn't real). We had a great view of the Ferris wheel and the city.
Our next stop was the Museum. We saw lots of artefacts and lots of types of creatures. The creatures were really awesome!! There was fake coral that looked like it was real! At the science centre we saw heaps of extremely cool science stuff. The best room had lots of cool activities like huge naughts and crosses, a tunnel that makes you dizzy and optical illusions. We also went to Suncorp Stadium where we learnt lots of history. It used to be a haunted cemetery which was really spooky. We then went to our cabins and got to share rooms with our friends. We had a roast dinner and ice cream for dessert and a snack of delicious cake before bed time.
Yawn!! It was an early start on Friday. We packed our lunches after breakfast and got back on the bus so we could get ferried across to St Helena Island. At St Helena Island we saw an old prison and learnt about convicts. We also saw a convict cemetery and museum. Some of us were feeling sick after the ferry ride and all our walking but we had an amazing time.
