Over the last couple of months, I have been rehearsing with Tylah, Denin and MacKinnon for performances at a number of events with The Rivers Junior Dance Ensemble; including the Far North Coast Dance Festival (Gold Coast), Lismore Lantern Parade, Lismore Performing Arts Festival and most recently, MacKinnon and I performed at the Rivers P-12 Dance showcase (Lismore High School). We performed alongside other dancers from the Rivers Aboriginal Dance Group, Lismore and Richmond River High and the Rivers High School Dance Group. We met regularly on Thursdays for rehearsal at Lismore High School - it has been a lot of hard work but a lot of fun. It has been amazing to have the opportunity to perform on stage and I loved working with other dancers and learning from the older students. I have enjoyed the entire experience, especially meeting new people and would like to thank Elise Dessman for giving me this wonderful opportunity.
