Hugs and kisses…. "Bye Mum and Dad".  We got on the bus, engine roaring and ready to go for a very long trip from Lismore for Sydney.

First we walked the Sydney Harbour Bridge, we then checked out the landscape in Sydney and ended up on a ferry to Taronga Zoo.  After wandering around Taronga Zoo, we then hit the road for Canberra.  We ended up at the Greenleigh Motel, had dinner and went to bed.

Tuesday we went to the Mint, Parliament House and talked to Kevin Hogan.  We dropped by the National Museum and drove through the Embassies.  On Wednesday, we were ready for the snow!  After a long drive to Thredbo, we took the chairlift up the mountain to see the snow.  It was extremely cold but amazing!  After a long a long day, we got back and fell asleep.

Thursday, we drove up to Mt. Ainslie and visited the War Memorial, Old Parliament House (MOAD), The National Gallery and The Australian Institute of Sport.  It was a big day and we were all tired.

Friday was the day we left Canberra to return home.  We passed through Electoral Education at Old Parliament House then did a tour of the Botanical Gardens and finished off with Questacon.  At 6.30 a.m. we arrived at Wyrallah Road Public School, hopped off the bus, farewelled our tired teachers and hugged and thanked our parents for paying for us to go.  Thank you to Mr. Mussett, Miss Bailey and Mrs. Allen for taking us and to Mr. Hockings for making this excursion possible, it was great!
