Positive Behaviour for Learning

A code of behaviour based on the ‘Core Rules' and ‘Values' in NSW Public Schools is a DET requirement. Our school uses the Positive Behaviour for Learning program or PBL to educate our students about our core rules.

PBL is an evidence-based whole school systems approach that establishes positive social expectations for all in the school community by providing a framework for the school and its community to collectively support the well-being of every student.

As a PBL school, teachers at WRPS explicitly teach expected behaviours covering the many different school settings. This is reinforced by both our formal and informal recognition system outlined in our Student Wellbeing Policy.

For more information about PBL at WRPS, please feel free to download the attached PBL Brochure or pick up a copy from the office.
