Stage 2 Sustainable House Excursion

In Stage 2, we have been learning about environmental sustainability and the effect humans have on resources and environments when sustainability is not considered. As part of our integrated unit investigations, Stage 2 and 4/5E spent last Tuesday, 4 June, surrounded by gum trees at the Lismore Botanic Gardens and Recycling and Recovery Centre. We participated in five hands-on activities focusing on water use and management; waste use and management; energy use and renewable energy resources; human impact on biodiversity; and sustainable food sources. It was a stimulating day that added to our understandings of environmental sustainability.  Click here to view more photos.
