Boys’ Softball Team into State Finals!

On Monday, the WRPS boys’ softball team travelled to Albert Park to play the quarter final of the NSW PSSA knockout competition against Newport Primary School. The boys defeated the Newport team 11-4 in an exciting game. Pitcher, Rory, dominated the hitters showing great control and accuracy and giving up only four runs in seven innings. Catcher, Will, was outstanding behind the plate and maintained his focus for the whole game. In defence, our infielders were again sharp, with Tully making a number of great plays to Jake at first base, scooping up any throws in the dirt. Outfielders, Jye, Jed and Jetlin made some great catches and supported the infielders well. The boys again really impressed with their sportsmanship and team spirit. We now play the State finals in Sydney in two weeks. Top effort, boys!
