MULTICULTURAL PUBLIC SPEAKING
What an amazing array of talent we have at Wyrallah Road Public School!
Today, the stage finals of the Multicultural Public Speaking were held in our school hall. Stage 2 started our morning session and all students spoke superbly in both their prepared speeches and impromptu. Our impromptu topic for Stage 2 was ‘Homework' and all teachers present received some interesting feedback!
Stage 3 finalists also presented their prepared and impromptu speeches after recess and certainly continued the great work of the previous stage. It was obvious that all children had researched and prepared their topics exceptionally well. Our Stage 3 impromptu speech topic was ‘Parents' and once again, a few laughs and heartfelt words were had by all.
We were all so impressed of the high standard of speeches presented today. Well done to all students. Thank you to Mrs Walker, the public speaking coordinator and all the teachers and parents who have assisted the children in preparation for this competition.
Our winner and runner up for each stage will be announced and presented with their certificate at this Friday's assembly (2 June). These students will go on to represent Wyrallah Road Public School at the local final on Wednesday, 21 June at Alstonville Public School.
