Public Speaking was a great experience. My prepared speech went well but I was really nervous. I was the 2nd one up (even though I was meant to be 3rd). My impromptu speech was ‘winners and losers' which went pretty well too. The adjudicator said that in my prepared speech I should challenge the audience more at the end of my speech. For my impromptu, he said to have only one idea. My parents are really proud of me. By Lucinda
Last week Lucinda and I went to Armidale to Compete is the Multicultural Public Speaking Competition. Lucinda was in the Stage 2 Regional Finals and I was in the Stage 3 Regional Finals. First of all we had to do our prepared speech and then after a 15 minute break we went into a room to do our impromptu speeches. The Stage 2 impromptu topic was ‘Winners and Losers' and the Stage 3 topic was ‘Luck'. We both tried our best with Lucinda getting a 3rd place but sadly not making it to Sydney. By Harriett
