Our bike and scooter safety day was finally held on Thursday, 10th June and the fine weather made it a great success. Children listened to safety talks from the police, designed and fitted bike helmets then had their bikes and scooters checked mechanically before taking part in different riding activities.
Over 500 children brought along their bikes and scooters to enjoy the day. The ride-past at the end of the day was covered by a local television station and there was plenty of excitement for the drawing of the raffle with plenty of prizewinners.
