3H

Class Profile:

Our Year 3 class has 27 students, made up of 10 boys and 17 girls. Mrs Glendinning teaches the class Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Miss Haworth teaches the class on Thursday and Fridays. We both share the teaching of all the Key Learning Areas of the curriculum.

Teacher Profiles

Simone Glendinning: My name is Simone Glendinning and I am excited to be teaching 3H with Mrs Sigrid Haworth in a class share again this year.

I grew up in Sydney and have spent a number of years extending my Primary Education qualifications at the University of Wollongong, specialising in Special Education and Information Communication Technologies. I have taught for 15 years in both public and private schools, and I love the creative and inquisitive nature of children. I believe that when children feel valued and are engaged in meaningful learning experiences they have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

At Wyrallah Road Public School I am part of the English and Creative Arts curriculum team, the Learning Support Team and the Gifted and Talented Support Team.

I love spending time at the beach, travelling to new places, going to art galleries, the theatre and the movies; I enjoy taking photographs and reading children’s picture books.

Sigrid Haworth: My name is Sigrid Haworth and I feel very privileged to have joined the WRPS teaching team in 2018, after completing a Masters of Teaching degree through the University of New England in 2016. I am passionate about my role as an educator and look forward to supporting students in my class with engaging and challenging learning experiences, whilst always maintaining a positive and respectful classroom environment. I believe that through quality teaching, educators can give children a lifelong love of learning that helps them develop into resilient, independent and self-confident adults.

I am lucky to have grown up locally in the Keerong Valley and have recently returned to this beautiful part of the world, after spending many years working and studying in Sydney. I love to keep active and spend most of my spare time in the great outdoors. Some of my favourite past times include soccer, swimming, gardening, fishing and camping.
