Teacher Profile:

My name is Leah Wood and I’m really pleased to be a part of the Wyrallah Road Public School teaching team this year. I have been teaching in Sydney, on the Northern Beaches since I graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Education in 2011. Being passionate about ensuring that students develop strong foundations academically, socially and emotionally, my experience and love for teaching has focused on the lower years of Kindergarten and Year One. Being very family orientated my husband and I have moved to the Northern Rivers so that our 2 young boys can be close to their grandparents and cousins. We love spending our free time at the beach and going for little camping trips. We are very much enjoying all the things that the area has to offer and look forward to exploring the region even more.

Teacher Profile:

My name is Monique Graham and I am very excited to again be a part of the great team at WRPS. I am returning to WRPS after being on maternity leave in 2020 and have the privilege of teaching 1/2M on Thursday and Friday in 2021. My teaching career began in 2015 after serving as a police officer with the NSW Police Force for many years. I have taught in both Tasmania and NSW and prior to joining the WRPS team in 2019 I was teaching in Walgett NSW. As a teacher, I strive to create a safe and nurturing educational environment. I believe all children have the right to equal learning opportunities where they can grow academically, emotionally and socially. In my spare time you will find me out and about with my amazing husband and three very lively little ones, camping and exploring our amazing local area.

Class Profile:

In 1/2M we have 25 fantastic students, which consists of 11 lovely Year 1 students and 14 Year 2 students.  We are very much looking forward to a very engaging and positive learning year.
