Fay Browning
My name is Fay Browning. I have been teaching for over forty years, both in Queensland and New South Wales. I have had experience in small country schools and larger metropolitan schools as well as in an Aboriginal community. I have a particular interest in the education of Aboriginal students and have previously tutored numerous Aboriginal students over many years.
I encourage students to be responsible for their own learning and to investigate their world and acquire knowledge of interest to them. Therefore I endeavour to motivate each child to reach his/her potential in a safe and happy environment, wanting to learn, investigate and discover.
This year I am assisting in the Learning and Support Program for several students. Part of my role is teaching some classes while teachers have time for programming and preparation. I am also facilitating the EAL/D Program for new arrivals.
This year I hope to inspire students to learn, be proud of their achievements and help them to enjoy learning.
