Rowena McLaughlin
My name is Rowena McLaughlin and I am the Deputy Principal at Wyrallah Road Public School. I completed my Bachelor of Education at Southern Cross University and began my teaching career at Kyogle Public School. After 9 years as a classroom teacher and Assistant Principal I was lucky enough to gain the position of Assistant Principal at Wyrallah Road Public School in 2013. In 2016 I was appointed as the Deputy Principal.
I am committed to the teaching profession and have a strong desire for quality outcomes for all students. I am committed to providing students with a supportive environment in which they can thrive academically, socially and physically. I strive to instil a love of learning in all students and to make learning exciting and interesting. I have built strong working relationships with parents, students, staff and the wider school community. This year I am looking forward to another fantastic year working with the WRPS school community.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my partner and our two boys. We love fishing, visiting the park and days at the beach. I have a passion for dance and I love being able to share this passion and my skills with the students at WRPS.
